Our programme for the year ahead
A choral masterclass over two days with world famous conductor, Sir John Rutter.
One hundred singers invite you to hear the fruits of their labours after their weekend’s Masterclass with Sir John Rutter
Embark on a truly extraordinary musical journey with the esteemed and world-renowned composer Sir John Rutter at our exclusive “Come and Sing” weekend. This unforgettable event will be hosted in the magnificent ancient abbey church of Cadouin, nestled in the heart of the Dordogne countryside. Steeped in history and founded in 1115, this breathtaking abbey has been a sanctuary of worship and song for over nine centuries—a setting befitting one of the most celebrated composers of our time.
Scheduled for Saturday, 20th September 2025, and Sunday, 21st September 2025, this special weekend invites singers from the local community and beyond to come together in harmony. Spaces are limited to just 100 participants, ensuring an intimate and enriching experience. Admission is on a “first come, first served” basis, and a basic level of choral experience is recommended. While fluency in reading music is not essential, it will provide an advantage.
Canta Vivace is a Chamber choir based in Monflanquin, performing in and around Lot-et-Garonne several times a year.
We recruit our singers by audition, so please contact us by message if you would like to join us!
